Giving Tuesday is right around the corner!
We’re excited to kick off Nafshenu’s Giving Tuesday campaign this year with an update about Facebook’s donation matching program. On Tuesday, November 30th, Facebook has pledged to match the first $8 million USD in donations made through their platform. That’s awesome, right! So, how do you make sure your donation is matched? Here are a few tips –
To start off, mark your calendars & set your alarms for 7:45 EST on November 30th. That should give you enough time to wake up, rub the sleep from your eyes (maybe a little Modeh Ani?) and brew a cup of coffee before logging on to Facebook and heading over to Nafshenu’s page. At 8:00 AM sharp, Facebook’s matching program begins.
On our main Facebook page, you will see a link to donate for Giving Tuesday. There will also be a link on our website that re-directs to this page.
Make your donation as soon as the clock strikes 8:00 — or as soon as you are able to get Facebook to load (their servers often get overworked during this intense period of traffic).
